Course Overview
This course aims to provide the fundamentals of non-life insurance and introduce the key ingredients necessary for a more thorough understanding of the concepts and practices of non-life. This course is divided into two parts starting with a bit of history, definition of terms, some characteristics of insurable risks, classifications of insurance, and a discussion on contracts. Part two is devoted to a discussion of parts of the insurance policy and the general principles of insurance.
What You Will Learn
Upon completion of this course, the learners are expected to:
- recall the brief history of insurance in the Philippines
- recognize the key terms in insurance, classification of insurance, risks, and policy contract
- identify the parts of insurance
- show understanding of the six general principles
