Course Overview

This course will discuss a branch of Accounting where it would put you in the position of a decision-maker of a business, whether as the owner, manager, or someone in the top management of the company. The primary goal of Accounting, in general, is to provide information for decision making, and Managerial Accounting focuses on information used by internal business owners and managers, and employees.

What You Will Learn

Upon completion of this course, the learners are expected to:

  • identify the vital role that Managerial Accounting information plays in organizations; and
  • learn the basic and commonly-used concepts in Managerial Accounting, such as the nature of cost and its classifications, costing of product, profit planning or estimation, and budgeting for a business.
